Lime slurries present many problems for water treatment plants and the other industries that use them. Lime is resistant to dissolving and quickly settles in low-velocity areas of process lines. Centrifugal and diaphragm pumps also need frequent cleaning and maintenance due to the lime caking their internals. Large particles and the slurry itself can cause excessive wear and tear on the pumps, causing significant downtime and cost in parts and labor.

The Liquiflo POLYGUARD has NO metallic wetted parts, a mag-drive coupling with a PFA lined Containment Can and a stainless steel housing lined with PFA.
