Peristaltic Pumps from Watson-Marlow Overcome Vapor Locking Problems

Posted on by Sara Springer

Watson-Marlow Pump Used for Sodium HypochloriteSodium Hypochlorite is a highly corrosive and toxic chemical used for water treatment because of it’s disinfecting properties. One of the tendencies of Sodium Hypochlorite is to off gas, or release tiny bubbles. This causes gas locking in the small ball valves found in Diaphragm Metering Pumps, the most common pumps used for dosing this chemical.

BLACOH Pulsation Dampeners Reduce Energy Consumption for Cost Savings

Posted on by Sara Springer

BLACOH Pulsation Dampeners are Proven Energy Saving Components

Blacoh Sentry Pulsation DampenersPumps are large consumers of energy in industry, in some cases using up to 50% of total plant energy usage. BLACOH Pulsation Dampeners can reduce pump energy consumption by reducing the workload imparted to the pump through pulsations. In a test BLACOH ran with a peristaltic hose pump, the energy savings range between 6.5% and 14.3%! On top of this, pulsation dampeners improve the life of piping, valves and other fluid system components.
