Sandpiper’s 1/4″ (6mm) AODD Pump is known for it’s compact design, being pleasantly quiet while operating, and having tremendous system flexibility; this allows users to easily pump coatings, paints, adhesives, oils and chemicals, making this tiny powerhouse pump ideal for the construction industry. Adding to it’s curb appeal, the PB 1/4″ now has a new and improved air valve design, making Sandpiper’s PB 1/4″ indispensable on a job site.

Available as of May 2, 2024 the SANDPIPER PB ¼ will be have a new, major improvement to its air valve, featuring a more reliable sleeve and spool retainer using a staple instead of the original snap ring.  Dimensions and performance of the pump shall remain the same.  The model number will also stay the same.  Part numbers will be changing for the parts affected.  All PB ¼ pumps built on or after May 2, 2024 will have the new air valve body installed. The main benefits are a new staple retainer clip will hold the air valve cap more securely, and it is clearly visible. The engagement is more robust and reduces the possibility of incorrect or loose installation.

There are 4 parts that are different with the new design: Air Valve Body, Air Inlet Cap, Gasket and Retainer. All other components shall remain the same. The air valve body assemblies are reverse compatible. Both the old and the new assemblies will fit on the PB ¼ with no modifications.
