Polymer Dosing with the Qdos ReNu 60 PU Pump for Water Treatment by Watson Marlow

Qdos ReNu® PU 60 by Watson Marlow® is a flow range extension from the Qdos ReNu PU 20. The PU (Polyurethane) pumps offer accurate and repeatable flows for various chemicals, including viscous fluids and aliphatic hydrocarbons at up to 5 bar pressure. Notably, the product provides excellent compatibility for complex polymers such as polyacrylamide (PAM) and other flocculants and coagulants used in water treatment. Industry experts highly recommend peristaltic pumps for emulsion-based polymers – their gentle and low-shear pumping is ideal for protecting the integrity of polymer chains.  

Qdos ReNu® 60 PU is also food-grade compliant according to FDA regulations 21 CFR177.1680 and EC1935/2004, EU regulation 10/2011.  There have been notable successes in the food and beverage industry with the current ReNu 20 PU pump head. The most common applications are the addition of edible oils, fatty acids, flavorings, etc.  

Features of the Qdos 60 ReNu PU: 

  • Qdos 60 PU pumps will provide flow rates up to 60l/h (15.8 GPH). 
  • The pressure rating has been increased to 5 bar (70 psi). 
  • PU offers excellent compatibility with emulsion polymers used frequently in water treatment. 
  • PU is a food-grade compliant ReNu pump head.
